Abstract

The article is devoted to sports selection and sports orientation of children as a fundamental factor for subsequent achievements in various sports. Recently, the issue of timely detection of children's inclination to certain sports has been raised quite often. One of the effective ways to attract children to systematic physical education and sports, as well as to develop mass sports and high-performance sports, is the introduction of a comprehensive, well-founded system of sports selection and sports orientation.
